We left along a path up through the village. Nothing other than foot traffic or pack animals this high.
The village had a particularly attractive prayer wall and wheel housed in this beautifully made hut.
Most of our early walk is up steep, stone-crafted steps in the shade of the mountain. It is chilly.

Eventually we top out the ridge and get to walk a gentler gradient.

The ridge offers fine views

After a stop for mid-morning tea, the path goes up again.
Here come out porters with our kit bags.

We reach our accommodation in time for another late lunch. Another early finish but we’ve climbed from 2700m to 3600m.

A lovely sunset.

Tomorrow we go up to 4000m for the first time.
